If your child is lead poisoned (currently blood lead level of 20 ug/dl
or more) in a rental unit, the Rhode Island Department of Health will
send an inspector to the premises. If the unit is not lead safe, the landlord
will be required to clean it up.
Non-compliance with federal, state or municipal laws regarding lead may
result in enforcement efforts on the part of the following agencies.
