MURALS OF rock stars line the exterior of The Station nightclub in the fall of 2002. The building, which had undergone several changes throughout its life, had been owned by Triton for almost 30 years.

Sources

1970: Triton Industries forms in Massachusetts.

1974: Triton buys land and property at 211 Cowesett Ave., West Warwick.

Aug. 9, 1981: West Warwick Fire Department orders Triton to address a number of violations after a grease fire at P. Brillo's at 211 Cowesett Ave.

1994: In response to Triton's tax appeal, the West Warwick tax assessor lowers the value of the building at 211 Cowesett Ave. from $274,900 to $268,400.

1997: Triton again appeals to West Warwick to lower the property taxes on the building. The request is denied.

1999: Neighbors complain about the noise at the nightclub.

March 2000: The Derderians buy the liquor license for The Station.
