Former deputy AG to join Derderian defense team
PROVIDENCE -- Thomas Dickinson, an appellate specialist who served as
deputy attorney general under Jeffrey B. Pine, has signed on as
co-counsel for Jeffrey A. Derderian, who is charged with 200 counts of
involuntary-manslaughter in connection with last February's fire at The
Station nightclub.
Station fund to target the short-term
The
overseers of The Station Nightclub Fire Relief Fund, who have already
distributed more than $2 million to victims of the fire, have
reconsidered how to spend some of the remaining $1 million in donations.

State opens effort to aid fire victims
As
the first anniversary of The Station fire nears, the state is launching
a group of mental health agencies to seek out and treat, free of
charge, potentially thousands of people still emotionally reeling from
the nightclub tragedy.
