Nov. 23, 1956: Todd Jonathan Barry is born in
Providence.
Aug. 30, 1962: Jeffrey Scott Hornoff is born in West Virginia.
Dec. 2, 1983: Hornoff joins the Warwick Police Department.
May 16, 1987: Hornoff marries Rhonda J. Goula.
Summer 1988: Barry dates Victoria E. Cushman; they stop seeing each other
in late fall.
Jan. 28, 1989: A son is born to the Hornoffs.
July 28, 1989: Cushman approaches Hornoff at the Coast Guard House; soon
they begin an affair.
Aug. 10-11, 1989: Barry murders Cushman.
Aug. 11, 1989: The Warwick police question Hornoff and clear him.
Jan. 3, 1991: A second son is born to the Hornoffs.
June 13, 1992: Barry marries Donna Marie Pillsbury.
Dec. 28, 1994: A statewide grand jury indicts Hornoff.
Dec. 29, 1994: Hornoff pleads not guilty and is released on bail.

Oct. 28, 1999: Judge Robert D. Krause denies Hornoff's second request
for a new trial.
Nov. 9, 1999: The Hornoffs are divorced.
Sept. 2, 2000: A daughter is born to the Barrys.
Oct. 24, 2000: The state Supreme Court denies Hornoff's motion for a new
trial.
Nov. 3, 2002: Barry confesses to the state police that he killed Cushman.
Nov. 4, 2002: Barry is arraigned on second-degree murder charges.
Nov. 6, 2002: Hornoff is freed on personal recognizance.
Jan. 6, 2003: Barry pleads guilty and is sentenced to 30 years in prison;
the charges against Hornoff are dismissed.
April 29, 2003: The Barrys are divorced.
