Bank of America Merrill Lynch Names A.J. Murphy as Head of Americas Leveraged Loan Capital Markets
NEW YORK, July 8 -- Bank of America Merrill Lynch today announced that A.J. Murphy will join the company as a managing director and head of Americas Leveraged Loan Capital Markets. Murphy, who is currently at J.P. Morgan will be based in New York and report to David Flannery, head of Global Leveraged Finance. She is expected to join the company in October.

In addition to Leveraged Loans, the Leveraged Finance business includes Global Loan Syndications, which continues to be led by Tom Okel, and High Yield Capital Markets, which continues to be led by John Cokinos.
Leveraged Finance is a core competency at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and for the first six months of the year, the company ranked No. 1 in U.S. leveraged loans with 22 percent market share and No. 1 in global high-yield bond underwriting with 18 percent market share.(1)
