BIKE PATHS
Bellevue Avenue & Ocean Drive, Newport: Cycle past world-famous mansions
and continue on the curvy road that hugs the Atlantic Ocean. About 15 miles.
Blackstone River Bikeway, Northern Rhode Island: The first 3-mile section is open
now. Eventually, the 19-mile path will connect the Blackstone Valley National
Heritage Corridor between Providence and Worcester.
Block Island: The whole island is ideal for cycling.
Colt State Park, Bristol: Ride through the grounds of the former Colt family estate
and along the Narrragansett Bay shoreline. About 3.2 miles.
Conanicut Island (Jamestown): About 20 miles over and across the rolling
landscape of the Narragansett Bay island.
East Bay Bicycle Path: A 14.5-mile path that leads from Providence to Bristol. It
provides access to several state parks and follows Veteran's Memorial Parkway in
East Providence.
Goddard State Park, Warwick: About 8 miles throughout the park.
Greenville Area, Smithfield: About 20 miles in and about this quaint village in the
heart of Rhode Island's apple country.
Tiverton & Little Compton: About 25-35 miles of quiet routes through Rhode
Island's southeasternmost corner.
West Kingston: Train station to Rodman Street in Peace Dale (about 31/2 miles),
but in a few more years will go all the way to Narragansett Town Beach.
Wilson Park Bikeway, Wickford. A 1.5-mile loop circling the 75-acre Wilson Park.
