Hey Joshua,
Hope you are doing well. Just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for your bravery and sacrifice in the service of our beloved country. I work just 6 miles from "Ground Zero" in NYC. Being on the "front lines" of the Homefront, we know all too well that freedom does not come free. Guess you can say we've been "through the fire here", but we carry on each day standin tall with heads high because of our awesome US Military; of which you are a part. May God bless you and all those you love, and return you to them safely and soon. You will remain in my prayers. With my very best wishes, Pat

From Cindy Doyle, Dayton, MN

Howdy, Josh! Thanks for all you've done and continue to do for our country through your military service. It's not an easy job, but you have lots of people who support you and care about you. (And some of us even send you cookies from time to time.) The country could use more intelligent, courageous individuals such as yourself. I'm honored to know you and proud of you. Hugs, Kelly

From Betty Spencer, Chesapeake, VA
Hi, Josh--just sending greetings from Virginia. As the wife of a retired Navy Commander, I can tell you that there are many of us retirees who are praying for you every day. Your service to this country is worthy of honor from all of us and your patriotism is a shining light in a world of hate and despair. We are proud to call you one of our own. Take care and God bless.

You are true heros, brave and honorable. Many people in this country are so against this war that they don't appreciate the good that we are doing and the price that we have to pay to have our freedom. From Margaret Bourdeaux, Brookline, MA
Well hi there Josh! Greetings from a long-lost college friend! Your name came up recently at a reunion and I thought I would look you up. From the looks of it, however, you are not stateside and indeed might not be in the safest of climes. I hope this message finds you safe, well, and soon to return home. We will be thinking of you here in Boston! Sincerely, Margaret Bourdeaux

From Kim Brubaker, Winston Salem, NC

From Tonia Grigg, College Station, TX
Here's to wishing you a safe journey and a speedy return from Afghanistan. Thank you for serving America (and taking care of Kelly).

From Jay Price, Seneca, SC
Thanks for all your service to our country. My son-in-law had offices in tower two of the WTC, on the floor where the second plane hit. He was by luck late in arriving that day, but 90% of his friends and co-workers were killed. My family appreciates the sacrifice you are making for us.
Tell the Patriette hello for me--we shared a few bried e-mails--she may remember me as the retired engineer/MBA--your field as I recall, and ex-USAF.
God bless you both.

From Ingrid Asztalos, Milan, MI
Hi Josh,
Your cousin here. Best of luck to you over there. I just ordered extra girl scout cookies to send to you, hopefully you will have and address soon. Sending Love - Ingrid

From Dale Pettelle, Beaverton, Mi
Josh, just read of your engagement. Wonderful news and something worthy to carry with you until your return. I want to thankyou for your commitment and faith. I pray daily for all of our soldiers and their safe return, along with their overcoming the tyranny that has befallen so many and many of whom have been freed from it because of folks such as yourself. As an old VN era 'Marine', I wish you Semper Fi. We have your back.

From Christine Spencer, Bostic, NC
Hi Josh!
This is Kelly's sister, Christine. I haven't met you in person yet, but I am so proud to know that you will be my future-brother-in-law and uncle to Kylee Erin, who is due any day now. Your bravery and patriotism should be an example for all Americans. God bless you for having the courage to stand up for our nation. Please come home to my sister safe and sound. I'll be proud to call you family.

From Kelly Spencer, Bryan, TX
Although you've been demobilized for now, I still thought I'd post something: Thanks for doing things that others are not willing to do. Thanks for sayings things that some are not willing to say. I think you are brave and courageous. Thank you for being such a wonderful man and officer. I am so very proud of you and am so happy that I will be your wife soon. Although I know you may be deployed sometime in the coming years with little notice and I know your absence will make me sad, I will support you and believe in you and love you always...

From Kelly Simer, Saint Paul, MN
You're my husband AND my hero! I love you very, very much and although I will miss you very, very much, I am proud to be married to you and I look forward to when you'll return home to me. Stay safe. Looking forward to owning a dog, buying a home, starting a family, and making up for lost time with you upon your return (not necessarily in that order).
Many hugs and much love, Me

From zak simer, manito, IL
keep your head high. Hopefully your duty to the war will pass minutes into hours and you will have a safe arrival and a warm reunion with your family and your friends. Safe Travels.. ZAk Simer p.s. your last name is very uncommon and I once heard they were all of some relation .

From Betty Spencer, Chesapeake, VA
Hi, son-o-my-heart....Nana Spencer here. Kylee says "bee-bo" and stay safe. That is all.

From Christine Spencer, Bostic, NC
Hi there!
Kylee wanted to tell you "Bababa deedeedee googaa." Which I think means "I miss you Uncle Josh!" Either that or it means "We need more cowbell!" I'm not sure which.
But we really miss you and we pray for your safe and speedy return.
Kylee and I look forward to seeing you, Kelly, and Amy soon!
Much love, Christine and Kylee

From Toni Albani, Thompsons Station, TN
Josh - how y'all doing? I just to practice my new southern language on you. Just kidding. Hope all is well and I'm hoping to see your Bride in about a month. You take care of yourself.

From Jason Moses, Woodbury, MN
Josh - the Carlson School has nothing but respect and love for you. I have spoken with other students on both sides of the aisle this year about you - and you have unanimous support and well wishes from us. There is enough hatred, oppression and cowardice in this world. Thank you for standing up and making your life count by spreading freedom, hope and stability. In a world filled with critics, it is liberating to find a hero.

From Tabitha McCoy, Chilhowee, MO

Hello Joshua, Love that name by the way. You don't know me but you know my husband "William Tager. He told me about you while he was in Iraq with you last deployment. He thought the world of you. Hopefully Iraq is settled down a bit since last deployment and your not stuck in Sadr again. What a piece work that place was. Right now Bill is at JRTC getting the men ready for a return trip. When he gets home I need to let him know about the Blog so he can write. Heck, If he ends up going back to the sandbox he may be able to link up with you again. Well anyway, Congrats on the baby. Not another Army Brat "HaHa". Stay Safe!!!!!!!!! V/R Sandra Tager
