My deepest condolences to the family and all loved ones of Michael Andrade. My heart aches for you, and you will remain in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that the deep hurt you feel can be in some part eased by the feeling of great pride for Michael’s valor and deep sense of patriotism.
Michael, you have made the ultimate sacrifice and did so willingly and without hesitation. Thank you so very much for defending my freedom. It means so much to me, to the people of NYC and to the entire nation. Thank you for your bravery and sacrifice in the service of the country that I love so very much.

I can not image the pain, family and friends of Mike are going through. I met Mike going back a few years, he worked with my husband at Display World in Warren, RI. I remember him being polite.
I know God has him in a better place. I will pray for Michael's friends and family, to help them get through these dark, and sad times. He lost his life defending all of us. While we are doing all the things we take for granted, these kids are overseas fighting for us. May God bless his soul. This is very sad, it really hit home.

Michael,
You paid the ultimate sacrifice anyone can. You stood up for your beliefs and for those who can not do for themselves. I am also a solider with the 399th CSH. I salute you and I am proud of you. To your parents thank you for giving birth to a wonderful human being. I did not know Michael but I once used to be a member of the Rhode Island National Guard. Your family is not alone and your family will not be forgotten as will not Michael. God bless and I hope that the pain becomes easier as the days and months and years go by.

i've known in the flesh a human,
i'd cared for him/her.
and suddenly an -"empty space"-,
he/she went to "HIGHER LIFE".
so many words never been said,
so much 4gotten 2 say.
regrets 4 what's never been answered.....
the connection 4 ever been broken??
i've known in the flesh a human,
i still know him/her.
only the body died,
but i still knows his/her spirit.
never completely separated,
never completely apart.
the sense of humor and the warmth,
i'll keep em in my heart.
i've known in the flesh a human,
i loved this him/her.
i still knows this human,
i can have faith in this.
and when i think of him/her very strongly,
then i can hear him/her.
he/she says:" i didn't die ,
i was just born again"

My sincerest condolences to Michaels's family. My stomach has been in knots since all of this has happened starting with Camara, Caldwell and Aponte. The whole state aches for these wonderful men lost. It's a shame. I guess the only solace is that they died doing what they though was right for their family and country and we appreciate all of them over there fighting for us. They are all truly brave men and women. Not that it will ever bring him back, but just know that he was prayed for and still is and he is in a very good place now where there is no fighting, only peace. God Bless his family in this time of sorrow. So many of us think of you every day. We pray for you every day and all of the troops still out there. Jennifer Issa, wife of Spc. Jon Issa of the 115th.

I would like to send my deepest sympathy to the family of mike. I have served with mike for a few years now and was devestated by the loss of my friend. As a member of the 115th mike was one of the best friends any one could ask for, he had no enemies. He touched all of our lives and was always willing to help out anyone. I am still waiting for my friend to come through the tent door but i know he wont adn it hurts to see such a great person fallen during this time. I can still see the look in his eyes the day he and myself were finally told that we could go home on leave, his image adn the things we talked about will live with me forever. He will always be in my heart adn mind and will never be forgoten.

My sincere condolences go out to the Andrade family and all who were very close and loved him. My brother served with him in the 115th - he attended Mike's funeral - fortunately my brother was injured earlier this year and got sent home although he is not "really" home yet. He was interviewed on Channel 6 during coverage of Mike's funeral and said that Mike could fix anything and make it better than it was in the first place. He said he hopes it is the last funeral he has to attend for another soldier in his unit. I hope it is too. May god bless the Andrade family and try to find strength to go forward. God bless everyone.

To the family of Mike Andrade, I cannot ever begin to express my deepest sympathy for your family. I met Mike the first night we stayed at Ft. Drum together and he "hung around" us ever since. He was the sweetest, nicest and most innocent guy I have ever known. His ways were so funny also. I just wish I could have known him longer and he and I could have carried out all the plans we had with one another when we got home. Please accept my deepest condolances. Sgt. Daid "Loff" Loffler 115 MP CO, 3rd Plt, 1st Squad

I would like to send my deepest sympathies to Mike's family. There is nothing I can do to make the pain go away. All I can do is express and maybe it helps both of us.
I was in the vehicle on Sept. 24 with Mike. I was his team leader, but more important his brother soldier and friend. We depend on each other all the time and Mike was one of the people I depended on the most. I wonder if Mike ever realized how much he was always there for me. Mike will forever be my hero and there will never be a day that goes by that I don't think about the sacrifices he made for me. I miss and love you Mike.
