Boston bench comes through again, led by Posey and House

LOS ANGELES - The Celtics’ bench has enjoyed big games throughout the playoffs, and last night was no different. Eddie House and James Posey were the killers in this one. Both came into the game when Doc Rivers chose to employ his quickest, best-shooting team in a valiant attempt to put together a stirring comeback. House (11 points) and Posey (18) both hit huge shots with the game on the line in the fourth quarter.
“We have two Game Sevens under our belt, so when the pressure is on, we just stepped up and answered the bell,” said House. “I don’t think we did anything different. We just withstood that first barrage and once they went up 20, we just had a mindset to make them take tough shots and when we get the ball execute on offense.”
Posey owns a championship ring from his time with the Miami Heat, but the comeback victory that put him on the brink of winning another title is a huge one in his career. “Look at the stage that this is on and how we weathered the storm and stuck together and dug ourselves out of this hole to get a win,” he said.
