Celtics get set for another Game Seven
08:27 AM EDT on Saturday, May 17, 2008
CLEVELAND -- The Celtics just played a Game Seven. Or so it seems.
The first one went great with a rousing victory over Atlanta but now it’s a do-or-die game against LeBron James.
“We’ve been there. That’s not all bad. They have, too,” coach Doc Rivers said. “Both teams will be ready. It’ll be a great game. I’m glad that it’s at our place.”
“We are definitely going to have to make some different things happen up there,” said the Cavs’ Joe Smith. “They key is going to be our defense up there. Continue to make them take tough shots. Continue to get stops we need and make them turn the ball over.”
Celtics forward Paul Pierce said he’s looking forward to closing the series out with a win.
“We feel like we’re a confident team. We’ve been in a Game Seven before,” said Pierce. “We feel like this is a game we let slip away and hopefully we can go home and take care of business.”
