Rondo disappears from Celtics' offense in Game Six
08:24 AM EDT on Saturday, May 17, 2008
CLEVELAND -- After a magical (20 points, 13 assists) effort in Game Five at home, Rajon Rondo laid an egg last night. He was not an offensive threat and finished with just two points and five assists.
“You could see clearly them playing off of Rajon. They just left him,” said coach Doc Rivers. “What I told him was just take shots. Instead of taking shots he tried to put it on the floor and dance in the paint. He has to keep taking the open looks. He’ll do that.”
Rivers went with Eddie House in reserve of Rondo, and House made an impact. He hit two 3-pointers and finished with eight points.
