The John Hazen White lecture at 4 p.m., will host Jonathan Cohn, senior editor for the New Republic in a discussion on health-care reform. The free lecture, open to the public, will be held at the Salomon Center for Teaching at Brown University.

Thursday

TheCurrier, a public relations company based in Cranston will host a free brainstorming session for business owners at 8:30 a.m. at the Calart Tower, 400 Reservoir Ave., Cranston, Suite 2E.

The Southern New England Entrepreneurs Forum (SNEEF), Networking and Speakers Forum, will host Dennis Downey, president and founder of TextTelevision of Falmouth from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at the Advanced Technology Manufacturing Center, 151 Martine St., Fall River. $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
