Receiver recommends nursing-home sale

A court-appointed receiver has recommended the sale of Bannister House, a nursing facility in Providence, to BH Acquisition Inc., a nonprofit Rhode Island corporation.

Chaired by Jane A. Hayward, the board of directors of BH Acquisition has been working with the receiver, Allan M. Shine, to help Bannister House emerge from receivership and continue to operate as a nursing home serving an inner-city community. State Superior Court Judge Michael Silverstein has scheduled a hearing on the receiver’s petition on Nov. 30. .
