| THE SCOUTING REPORT |
BRYANT (0-4): The Bulldogs hope for a little home cooking in their home opener. This will be the team’s fourth game in Rhode Island but first at home. Opening three losses came at the World Vision Invitational in Providence…Game will be second-consecutive against an Ivy League opponent, coming just five days after a 77-51 loss at Harvard…The Bulldogs have faced off against Ivy League opponents five times in their short Division I history, going 1-4 against the conference. All-time, Bryant is just 1-10 against the Ivies. Only win came last season versus Yale at the Chace Center…Gresham has scored 943 career points, good for 31st on the school’s all-time list…Bryant returns to the road for its next four games with a trip to Army up next Monday.
BROWN (2-3): The Bears play their second straight game in the state today in Smithfield. They won at home against Maine on Sunday, 75-62. Mullery (24) and Peter Sullivan (20) combined to lead the scoring pace for the Bears…Offense is shooting an impressive 45 percent over opening five games…Mullery was the Ivy player of the week and McCarthy the rookie of the week after strong efforts against Maine, St. John’s and Rhode Island…This is Brown’s first-ever trip to Bryant.
