Photo contest focuses on faces and places of New England
10:53 AM EDT on Friday, May 9, 2008
This year, the Sunday Journal’s annual photo contest is looking for two kinds of photos: people of New England and scenes of New England.
We’re looking for pictures taken by our readers after April 1, 2007, in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire or Maine. Entries in the People category should focus on one or more individuals; entries in the Scenes category should focus on scenery and locale, although there may be people in the photos. The judges may move an entry from one category to the other at their discretion.
One best-of-show winner will receive a cash prize of $150, while first place in each category will be awarded $100. In addition, there will be a second place ($50) and a third place ($25) in each category. Honorable mentions will also be acknowledged.
