WARWICK -- Fire officials say they've pinpointed where the fire started that killed five young people Saturday in a Buttonwoods Avenue house and believe it wasn't suspicious, but it could be weeks before they know its cause. Investigators have also taken evidence from the home to the state crime lab at the University of Rhode Island for analysis.
EAST PROVIDENCE -- School Supt. Mario Cirillo recommended last night that layoff notices be sent to slightly more than 20 percent of the district's teachers for the next school year.

Free H1N1 Flu Clinics for RI adults
Free swine-flu vaccines will be offered around the state to any adult at 28 public clinics to be held from Jan. 16 through Feb. 13, 2010. Click here for complete schedule. School-based H1N1 flu clinics resume
The second phase of the state Department of Health's school immunization program began Jan. 11. The clinics are for a second dose of H1N1 flu vaccine and are only for children who were younger than 10 years old at the time of the first flu vaccinations in the fall.
